Resource and Development
Doray’s current focus is on its 80% owned Andy Well project and bringing the Wilber Lode into production as quickly as possible. The grade of the Wilber Lode resource makes it one of the highest grade gold deposits in Australia.
In 2011, Doray’s extensive program of RC and Diamond drilling at Andy Well delivered ongoing high-grade results for the Wilber and Judy zones. and in December (2011) Doray announced a 90% increase to the maiden high-grade JORC resource for the Wilber Lode, less than 12 months after the discovery of the deposit. In March 2012, the company announced a further increase and upgrade to the high grade Wilber Lode resource.
The combined Inferred and Indicated resource for the Wilber Lode now totals 680,000t @ 15.1 g/t for a total of 331,000 contained ounces.
The resource has been defined to a depth of approximately 480m below the surface and remains open at depth. Importantly, the Wilber Lode resource includes all contained material within the quartz vein, with no lower cutoff used.
The Wilber Lode is one of at least seven highly prospective parallel northeast-trending zones of mineralisation within the Andy Well project which have been defined from re-interpretation of aeromagnetic data and historical, mostly shallow drilling. A second high priority target has been identified within the Judy Zone, about 800m south of the Wilber Lode, where shallow aircore drilling has intersected high-grade gold in quartz that resembles the Wilber Lode mineralisation.
DEVELOPMENT
Doray is committed to advancing the Andy Well project towards production as quickly as possible and has commenced a number of activities as part of its development timeline. Doray is targeting production from Andy Well by mid-2013.
Excellent gravity and cyanide gold recoveries have been indicated by a series of tests on samples from the Wilber Lode. Samples ranging from oxide/transitional material to fresh rock were tested for potential milling characteristics and gravity and cyanide recoveries. The results showed excellent recoveries, especially for gravity recoverable gold, which exceeded 85%. Total gold recoveries exceeded 97%. All recoveries from test work point to a potentially simple processing circuit with relatively low capital expenditure..
Project development activities and feasibility studies are being carried out concurrent with continued exploration, with a view to having all inputs for a Bankable Feasibility Study in mid 2012.
